Nandi hiked the trails of Southern California and the Sierra when she was young, and was six when we moved to the mountains of Colorado. She loved the grass in Summer and the snow in Winter. She would backpack with us, carrying her own food and water until she was well past ten years old. The mountains of Colorado were a wonderful home for her.
